How to Backup Contacts on Android Phone

As a link of getting in touch with friends and family, the importance of contacts on the Android phone is self-evident. Method 1: Backup Android Contacts with Gmail
Android phones allow you backup Android contacts to Google by syncing, so it’s easy for you to backup Android contacts with Gmail via the following ways.

Step 1. Turn on your Android phone and tap Setting. Scroll down the screen to find Account and sync.
Step 2. Log into your Google account and tap Sync Contacts. Wait until the sync process is complete.
Step 3. If you saved all your contacts to your Google account, you can skip the first two steps, and directly log in to your Google account and land the Gmail page on the PC.
Step 4. Choose contacts you want to backup and click More > Export. Select vCard format and save contacts to your PC. You can open and view them with Address Book.

Note: Gmail account can only backup contacts and calender for you.

Method 2: Backup Contacts to USB Storage.
Phones are expensive, but contacts are invaluable. Apart from backup contacts with Gmail, you can also sync contacts to USB Storage.

Step 1. Open Contact list on your Android phone.
Step 2. Go to your contacts menu and select “Import/Export Contacts”.
Step 3. Hit on “Export to storage”. Your Android contacts will be saved as a vCard file.
Step 4. Connect your Android phone to PC via a USB cable and drag-drop the vCard file to PC.
