2 Ways to Copy Music to iPhone from iTunes/Computer/Android Phone

When talking about transferring music/mp3 to iPhone, I guess the first way occurs in your mind would be using iTunes to transfer music backup to your iPhone. However, there are some downsides on moving files from iTunes to iPhone device. If you move the synced music/mp3 to your iPhone, the existing music/mp3 on the phone will be replaced by the synced ones. Thus, if you really want to import music/mp3 from iTunes to your iPhone, you’d better make a backup for your existing music/mp3 first. Below I’ll show how to transfer music/mp3 from iTunes to iPhone.

Step1. Drag songs from computer to iTunes
Download the newest iTunes version to your PC(if you have one, pls update it to the newest version), then launch it and click on the "File" on the top left corner of the interface, next choose "Add File to Library" (add music files to iTunes one by one)or "Add Folder to Library"(add all song files in a folder to iTunes at one time).

Step2. Connect your iPhone to the Computer via USB cable
When the iPhone is successfully connected with PC, the iPhone icon will show up on the top left bar.

Step3. Transfer music to iPhone
Click your iPhone icon and choose "Music” in the setting menu. Then select "Sync Music" so that you can choose either "Entire music library" or "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres".

Supposing that you choose "Entire music library" and click "Apply" in the bottom right corner, then all songs in iTunes music library will be moved to your iPhone.

If you prefer to sync some of songs in iTunes music library to iPhone, please choose "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" which will list all songs there for you to choose. After checking the songs you like, next to click "Apply" and wait a moment for the synchronization to complete.

Finally you can enjoy those songs on your iPhone.

If you don't want the existed files on your iPhone to be covered, you may try to use Gihosoft iPhone Music Transfer software, which can help export music from iTunes/one mobile phone to your iPhone.

Steps to move iTunes music to iPhone:
  • Step 1. Download the tool and run it. Click “From iTunes Backup”in the "Restore Data" section.
  • Step 2. Select your iPhone backup, and tick the “Music” file. (If you cannot find the backup file you want to transfer, you may need to sync your iPhone to iTunes first.)
  • Step 3. Connect your iPhone to the PC via USB, and then click “Start Copy” to transfer iTunes music to your iPhone.

If you wan to transfer music from one Android phone to your iPhone, you just need to click "Phone to Phone" section in the main screen and connect both the Android phone and iPhone to the PC.
